Season Two has transported The Carbon Removal Show team far and wide (literally!) to get an even deeper understanding of the global carbon removal space.
Here are some Season Two highlights so far…
Our very own Tom Previte hosted not just one, but two panel discussions at The UK Greenhouse Gas Removal Event in London (Ep 3)
By now you’ve probably realised how much we care about making the carbon removal conversation open and accessible for everyone. One of the panel discussions on public engagement sparked an exciting debate from the panel of experts. Dr Rob Bellamy, Lecturer in Climate and Society at the University of Manchester, had some interesting thoughts on how we need to address some of the public concerns around carbon removal, and to move forward responsibly. In case you missed it: our latest episode features a @tom_previte hosted panel from @CO2REhub's #UKGGREvent. Our trip to Iceland (Ep 4)
We were lucky enough to attend Iceland Innovation Week’s climate conference in Reykjavik. One of the stand out moments was our conversation with Tinna Hallgrímsdóttir, Chairperson at Icelandic Youth Environmentalist Association. Tinna told us about the Association’s innovative action of grading politicians’ climate policies as a way of keeping them accountable.

Our interview with Elizabeth Willmott from Microsoft (Ep 7)
We were absolutely thrilled that Microsoft’s Carbon Program Director agreed to speak with us directly about the tech giant’s carbon removal programme. As one of the biggest names purchasing carbon removal, we were keen to hear about their strategy.

Aledade - the healthcare company with a commitment to carbon removal (Ep 8)
We loved speaking to Aledade’s Will Palmisano about the company’s strategy to address the climate crisis. We wanted to know why this healthcare support company is making such considerable offsetting purchases, and why they’ve chosen to align their business model with wider climate issues. After some thought provoking discussion about the impact our healthcare systems have on the environment, it was inspiring to hear about Aledade’s commitment to support the development of more permanent carbon removal practices.
More from @AledadeACO's @will_palmisano on just how carbon-intensive the US healthcare system is. Listen, follow and rate to hear more about what Aledade is doing to combat climate change: pod.fo/e/142e32Listen to the full episode here:
And that’s not all! Season Two is absolutely packed with fascinating people and important conversations about carbon removal. And there’s still more to come…
